Ukhta coat of arms

Ukhta received the city status in 1943. On September 20, 1979 the city council approved a municipal coat of arms.

On a red field of the board there is a white-blue opened book, a black trowel , a black derrick with a date of creation of the city "1943".

Symbols of main branches developed in Ukhta are also displayed: oil-extracting, building, education and culture.

The author of the coat of arms is Gennady Kurakin.
