The road system connecting all settlements with the Syktyvkar to Ust-Kulom highway is well-developed. There is regular bus service from Syktyvkar's bus terminal to Kortkeros. There are also several bus routes that pass through Kortkeros.
Air passenger service is typically used within the district only in emergency situations during the flood season. Water transportation is not used, since all villages along the Vychegda river have roads that connect with the main highway. The starting points for rafting trips may be reached on "small trains" (1-2 cars) of the narrow-gauge railroads used for shipping logs out of the forests.
