Ust-Vym area is a land of virgin forests, mountains and caves, unique outliers and salmon stocked clean rivers. Thank to the special protection of natural territories, the biggest virgin woodlands remain here. That's why Komi is considered the gem of ecological tourism, a good place for full-fledged recreation and adventurous trips.

Ethnographic tourism in Ust-Vym is developing as well. An outdoor museum in the Ust-Vym village. Ancient guest houses carry to the past. Local masters' and needlewoman's items are in good demand among tourists.

Ust-Vym area is a god sent land for fishing and hunting. Group hunting and fishing tours include not only hunting and fishing itself, but also excursions to villages, reindeer farms, a visit to the ethnographic museum, a national souvenir making work shop. Tourists live in forest huts.

The Mikhaylo-Arkhangelsk man's monastery is an orthodox complex with sacred sources in the village of Ust-Vym. The first monastery in Komi was organised by Stephan of Perm in 1384. Located on two hills, the monastic complex includes three temples, three chapels, a refectory, hotel for pilgrims.

Sacred sources

The sacred source of an icon of the Mother of God "Neupivayemaya Chasha" is on the territory of the Mikhailo-Arkhangelsky man's monastery in the village of Ust-Vym. Holy water from the source helps to get rid of alcoholism, smoking, drug addiction and to recover from many illnesses.
